15 Filipinos pardoned by Qatar’s Emir during Ramadan

15 Filipino prisoners in Qatar have been pardoned by the Emir on the occasion of Ramadan, the Philippines Department of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.

It didn’t go into details about those who are being released, but said that such prisoners have usually served a substantial portion of their sentences. Last week, India confirmed that 23 of its nationals had been pardoned by the Emir.
