“We are between the hammer and the anvil. Parents complain about fee increase and private schools seek permission to raise their fees to meet increasing operational costs. We are doing our best to keep a balance between the two.”

Dr. Mohammed bin Abdul Wahed Al Hammadi, Minister of Education and Higher Education, in response to complaints about recent fee hikes at 55 schools. According to the Peninsula, he added, “We can’t force the schools to operate while facing financial loss.”
