“I don’t think Qatar needs to go through this… dirty business. We are not in that. We will go and fight like the others. I think during the bidding it was fair and transparent to all the council.”


Qatar’s athletics boss and IAAF vice-president Dahlan Al-Hamad, in response to allegations of bribery in the awarding of hosting rights for the 2017 International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) championships, as reported by AFP. Qatar did not win that bid, but will host in 2019.
