Qatar continues phase-out of incandescent light bulbs

Starting Nov. 1, Qatar will stop importing and selling 40-60 watt incandescent lightbulbs, the Ministry of Municipality and Environment has announced.

The move is part of an ongoing plan to conserve energy and be more environmentally-friendly. It follows the phasing out of 70W and 100W bulbs in May, in favor of energy-saving LED ones.
