Qatar energy minister: Fair oil price would be at least $65/barrel

The oil market is recovering slowly but countries need it to reach a minimum of $65 “badly,” Qatar’s Minister of Energy Mohamed bin Saleh Al-Sada has said.

Speaking to the Associated Press, he said that this would be a “fairer price” and give governments the chance to invest more in securing the world’s energy supply and “avoid any price shock.” Oil is currently trading at around $48 a barrel.
