Qatar Stock Exchange streamlines listing process

To encourage more local companies to go public, the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) has made it easier for businesses to register their IPOs.

According to Gulf News Journal, firms used to have to file an application with the Qatar Financial Markets Authority (QFMA), but now can deal directly with the QSE’s listing department. Streamlining the process will hopefully attract more private and family-owned companies to the QSE at a time when Qatar is trying to diversify away from oil and gas.
