Qatar thanked for negotiating release of Djiboutian prisoners in Eritrea

Four Djiboutian prisoners held in Eritrea for eight years have been released, following mediation efforts from Qatari officials.

The captives thanked Qatar for its efforts while at Hamad International Airport before heading home. Their release followed “intensive” meetings in Doha with Eritrean President Isaias Afwerki, according to QNA.
