QCRI sets up joint venture ‘Data Tamer’ with MIT


The Qatar Computing Research Institute (QCRI) is teaming up with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) to establish a new data curation system.

“Data Tamer” will allow companies to merge thousands of databases easily, QCRI officials told the Qatar Tribune. The Qatar-based group is also working on projects related to cyber security, Arabic language technology and social computing.
