Yesterday’s fire in Najma resulted in no injuries and took place in a compound that saw a similar blaze last year, according to local media reports.

Smoke from the morning’s fire could be seen across Doha, prompting questions and concerns from residents.

According to the Gulf Times, Civil Defense rescued two children trapped on the first floor of an adjoining building.

The newspaper added that thick black smoke caused by piles of burning old furniture, bicycle tires and carpets had made it difficult for those in the neighborhood to move around the area.

Were you at the scene of the fire? Thoughts?
