Report: Qatar buys Virgin-Monoprix building on Champs Elysees

The Qatar Investment Authority has bought the building at 52 Avenue des Champs-Elysées in Paris, France which is home to Virgin Megastore and Monoprix, according to French financial newspaper Les Echos.

Although it’s price tag hasn’t been disclosed, Les Echos reports the building cost more than 500 million euros ($628.2 million).

Despite the Eurozone crisis, Qatar has been investing heavily in Europe and the Investment Authority says it has some $30 billion to invest this year.
