Report: Qatar MET adding 50 new monitoring stations

In a bid to improve its long-range forecasting, Qatar’s meteorology department plans to construct 50 new monitoring stations over the next two years, the Gulf Times reported. The country currently has 10 stations.

While today’s relatively clear skies are expected to last for the next few days, the meteorology department says scattered showers could return by the end of the week.
