“Stroke is the second leading cause of death globally and the incidence of stroke in Qatar is extremely worrying, with strokes occurring in patients on an average almost 20 years younger than in the US or the UK.”

Dr. Ghanim Al Sulaiti, chairman of neurosurgery at Hamad Medical Corp. (HMC), speaking at the first annual Qatar Neuroscience Conference this week. He added that Qatar also has the highest incidence of brain cancer in the GCC.
