Speaking at a staff town hall meeting earlier this month, Lord Darzi – who is also a board member at Qatar’s Supreme Council for Health – speculated that construction of the hospital would take another two years.
The new hospital will provide secondary and tertiary care in addition to several medical services including pediatrics, obstetrics, gynecology, general surgery, cardiology, bariatric surgery, orthopedics and long-term care.
