A request by a lawyer for the Al Jazeera Children’s Channel to replace the lead judge hearing the fraud trial has been rejected, but has added further delays to a dispute about to enter its third year.
The next hearing for the trio, which have been charged with financial mismanagement, is in February. But the defendants, who are not allowed to leave Qatar, say they are worried they will not be able to afford living in Doha until then.
